A message from National Trails: Diversions are being put in place in the Carlisle area to ensure that Hadrian’s Wall path National Trail remains a continuous coast to coast route. Damage to the flood banks between Crosby and Park Broom and between Sheepmount and Engine Lonning require signed diversions that will soon be in place. Rumours that the Trail will be closed this season but that is definitely not the case. Kirkandrews on Eden: Beaumont Parish Hall. (From April - October only)
Monkhill: Monkhill Chapel and The Drovers Rest.
Burgh by Sands: Portable WC on The Green; St Michael's Burgh and The Greyhound Inn.
Port Carlisle: Hope and Anchor Inn.
Glasson: Highland Laddie.
Bowness on Solway: Kings Arms and RSPB at Campfield Marsh.
